All successful people had clear Goals.
Goals are the motivation factor in human life.
Every one who has achieved anything significant in their lives, had at an earlier time very intensely thought about their dream or goal. And this thought was dominant in their mind all the while. A deep desire to achieve their goal triggred many mechanisms (that till then lay dormant) in their mind which forced them to act in such a way thus creating an environment which made them worthy of their goals.
Now here is the fun: many of them never even knew the science that they so unknowingly used to succeed. (This science works like the power of gravity. You dont have to get a doctorate in gravity for you to jump off a building and reach the bottom!!) I have personally interviewed 100s of CEOs and winners in various fields who started very small and made it very big in life and I understand one common criteria in their lives. They all had clear cut goals. They all had visions of what they would be at some point of life later. This was their motivation factor to work. It served as a homing beacon throwing them the direction of direction.
There is no motivation without a motive. Get a goal. There are thousands of methods how you can harness on the power of focused attention. Spend some time with a person who knows goals and ask him to help you set yours. Somebody asked Rockfeller the steel tycoon "what are the most important points to succeed in life?" And Rockefeller told him "2 points young man. First decide what you want, and next find the price you have to pay for it and begin paying it today" Well that is how nature works too. You need to pay in advance for what you want to receive from her. This is a rich universe and there is much more than plenty for each and every soul on this earth and off it. It is only a question of what you want. Get getting clear about life.
There is going be a day and a year called 1st January 2020. It is most certain to come. And you will be somewhere when that happens. The question is "where will you be?"
Goal setting is an art. Learn it.

Keeping a relationship
First give into a relationship what you would like to get from it.
Each time I read this phrase, it gives me more reason to look at my relationships. It carries so much value and yet it is so simple you could read it and still not get its meaning.
If you would like someone to smile at you then all you have to do is just smile at them. Go on take the initiative. It is a irrefutable command to the other person to smile at you. Not knowing this we refrain from doing so and....get what we asked for.
If you are in a relationship (no matter where you are) and if you would like to grow your relationship with that person, then do this simple exercise, and I promise you, you will feel happy you did.
(1) First visualize from deep inside your heart a sincere relationship with your spouse or friend or who ever. (2) Then pick up the phone (yes NOW) and ask them where they are now, are they busy, and tell them that you called "just like that" because you felt like doing so. Thats it.
Do it once in about 3 - 4 days and when you do so, be sincere about your talk. Use words that are meaningful. And do it irrespective of any indifference you may have between you both. And get ready to be amazed by the result that happens.
Life is so simple. All we need to do is learn to pay our dues in advance. You cannot expect a harvest from the soil without any toil right? Well, I do not know, but that is the way nature works for some reason.

Presentation Skills
I had been to the meeting of a very popular business community yesterday. A few CEOs presented their ideas on how to tackle the forthcoming and looming challenges of the industry. Though the messages from each leader was so powerful and meaningful to the entire gathering, I was really taken aback on the presentation skills the majority of them lacked! The result being a cloudy disposition after the meeting, with no one knowing what next to do with the knowledge shared.
I just have to tell this to CEOs, business owners and senior managers: You have reached a point in life just because of certain decisions and actions you took in the past. Hardwork, perseverance and a belief in the positive definitely has been with you all along. But you will be surprised if I tell you that you have not yet exploited even a small percentage of what you could have acheived by now! The reason is just this: You might be having millions of ideas and views in your mind. If that is not capsulated and presented in your talk on stage and off stage and at all times of your business communication, your message will be mis intepreted, while you think that your message was clear to the listener. This is a skill and can be learnt if you know agree and know WHY you need this skill. You must begin to ponder and wonder where all in the past you could have done better if you had perfected this skill! Yes my friend: thinking is hard work!
A phrase by Michael Angelo presented by one of the speakers of the same meeting goes something like this: "The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we hit it." How true!
All these business leaders have to do is raise their sights a little above their own business, look farther and learn the art of presenting what they see to the new generation. Now that will definitely create an awareness. An impression beyond expectation. After all what makes the world go around? It is hope! Hoping to live that lifestyle one day. Hoping that this would be better, hoping to become like that person one day etc etc.
- Gather your knowledge on your subject before you present something.
- Create your slides and then halve their numbers.
- Select one message that you are going to build your topic on
- Tell the audience / listener clearly what you are going to speak
- Tell them the content of the topic
- Tell them what you have just told them
Thats it! Your presentation is clear and crisp and moreover remembered by the audience. If possible add a couple of real life impressive stories to complement your presentation. And remember to close your presentation just before your time is over.
If you need more help on this subject there are a huge number of books on presentation. Just pick a couple of them and read through. Modify according to your requirements.
And then here you are: You will now be delivering your powerful messages in an equally powerful manner.
Communication. Our most important skill, we would ever require in this journey of life!
